A new mark scheme is introduced in the 2025 Festival, following its introduction by The British and International Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance and Speech (BIFF), to which the Godalming Performing Arts Festival is affiliated.

There are now seven marking bands.  The descriptors and criteria for the bands can be found below.
