Welcome to Godalming Performing Arts Festival which also includes Music, Dance, Musical Theatre and Speech & Drama.
We have many classes to cater for all ages and all levels of ability. Most classes are competitive, with a mark awarded but we also have non-competitive classes in most music sections. However, all entries receive instant feedback from an experienced professional who will also write a short report on each performance and which is presented at the end of each class.
The Festival is divided into sections for which there is a different secretary dealing with entries and enquiries, please see the “Contact Us” page to get in touch.
Entries can be made through the website. If you prefer a paper entry please contact the secretary concerned through the contact us page.
A small fee is charged for entering each class and this can be done by individuals, parents, teachers etc.
Everyone is welcome to the final concert which consists of 3 – 4 performances from most sections (not Organ) featuring different ages but which have all been of a very high standard at that level. It is usually an excellent evening, lasts about 2 hours, and is followed by a short presentation of some major trophies. The evening concludes with a drink and nibbles and gives an opportunity to meet some of the performers. The provisional date for the 2021 concert is at 4pm on 21 March 2021.
We are very grateful to all our Sponsors and Advertisers who enable us to run this highly regarded festival.
The annual cost to run the Festival increases year on year and our main source of income is fees for entry and admission fees to the public. Our major expenditure is the hire of halls and professional fees for adjudicators and therefore we can only break even with the help of our Sponsors, Advertisers, and Friends.
If you would like to advertise or sponsor a class in 2021 please contact our our Sponsorship Secretary through the contact us page.
